The Golden Shore
Thirty-one fables. Read aloud in a warm grandfather’s voice. About three minutes each, one a night.
Fables of the Golden Shore · Books 1–3
These fables were written to be read aloud — on a porch, at a bedside, by somebody who still does the voices. Now you can hear them. Put one on for the kids at bedtime, or for yourself, if you would rather listen than read or your eyes are tired at the end of the day.
The audiobooks began with a friend and elder from my church whose eyesight is failing. He loves a good story, and the small print had gotten too hard to read, so I made the books for him in a form he could hear. I hope they find their way to anyone else who needs them that way.
Narrated by Grandpa Spuds Oxley, a digital voice with a porch-swing cadence. A fable every three minutes or so. Included with Spotify Premium in the US.
